Chelsea Hotels has prepared this privacy statement (“Statement”) to inform you of the privacy principles that govern our website, which includes ChelseaHotels.com and other Chelsea Hotels websites (collectively the “website”). Chelsea Hotels has a strong commitment to providing excellent service to all of our customers and visitors to our website, including respecting your concerns about privacy. We understand that you may have questions about how this website collects and uses the information that you provide to us.

I. Browsing
This website does not collect personally identifiable information when you browse this website and request pages from our servers unless you voluntarily and knowingly provide it to us. This means that we will not know your name, your email address, or any other personally identifiable information just because you browse the website unless you access the website from a link in an email that we sent. If you access the website from an email link from us, we will know who you are based on the information you previously supplied to us. In addition, when you request a page from our website, our servers log the information provided in the HTTP request header including the IP number, the time of the request, the URL of your request and other information that is provided in the HTTP header. We collect the HTTP request header information in order to make our website function correctly and provide you the functionality that you see on this website. We also use this information to personalize content presented to you, better understand how visitors use our website and how we can better tune it, its contents, and functionality to meet your needs.
We do not offer or provide products and services for children. If you are under 18, you may not use our site. If you are a parent or guardian of a user under the age of 18, you acknowledge and agree that some content on the website is intended for users 18 and older. We do not intend to collect personally-identifiable information from users under 18.

II. Information We Collect and How We Use It
We will ask you to voluntarily supply us with personally identifiable information (such as your full name, email address, mailing address, telephone number or credit card number) to provide you with a particular service you request, (including when you make a reservation, sign up for email alerts, use the “contact us” page, email us, establish a Web user profile, submit a résumé, and at other times). For example, if you would like to make a reservation at one of our hotels, we will ask you for information such as name, address, telephone number, email address, and credit card number. We will also use your email address to send a confirmation and, if necessary, we might also use other information to contact you for help in processing the reservation. We will also use your email address to notify you about special offers and promotions as described in the email section of this privacy statement.

III. Securing the Transmission and Storage of Information
After personally identifiable information is voluntarily provided to Chelsea Hotels, it is stored using commercially reasonable security measures. When we ask you for credit card data, it is transferred over a Secured Sockets Layer (SSL) line, provided you are using a SSL enabled browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer or Fire Fox. IV. Disclosure of Information to Third Parties

We may also share your information with our third party service providers as described in this Statement but they may use this information only to provide Chelsea Hotels with a specific service and not for any other purpose. In addition, if we sell all or part of our business or make a sale or transfer of assets or are otherwise involved in a merger or business transaction, we may transfer your personally identifiable information to a third party as part of that transaction [as long as the acquirer agrees to comply with this privacy policy.]. V. Cookies
Our website uses "cookie" technology. "Cookies" are encrypted strings of text that a website stores on a user's computer. Our website requires the use of a cookie throughout the online reservation process. Without cookies we will not be able to keep information you enter on multiple pages together. For example, unless ChelseaHotels.com can remember the dates you used in your hotel search, we will not be able to check room availability. Cookies also enable us to customize our website and offerings to your needs and provide you with a better online experience on our website. In addition, cookies are used to: Measure usage of various pages on our website to help us make our information more pertinent to your needs and easy for you to access; and Provide functionality such as online reservations and other functionality that we believe would be of interest and value to you. The types of cookies that we use are referred to as "session" cookies and "First Party" cookies. Session cookies are temporary and are automatically deleted once you close your Internet browser. First Party cookies remain on your computer hard drive until you delete them or are otherwise removed upon expiration. We use cookies for Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting. We do not use cookies to ascertain any personally identifiable information about you apart from what you voluntarily provide us in your dealings with Chelsea Hotels. You may set your browser to block cookies (consult the instructions for your particular browser on how to do this), although doing so will adversely affect your ability to perform certain transactions, use certain functionality, and access certain content on our website.

VI. Pixel Tags
Chelsea Hotels and its third-party service providers use pixel tags. Pixel tags are not visible to the user of the website and consist of a few lines of computer coding delivered with the Web page. Pixel tags are not used to collect any personally identifiable information about you apart from what you voluntarily provide us in your dealings with Chelsea Hotels. Chelsea Hotels and our email service provider use pixel tags to: 1) Track customer response to Chelsea Hotels advertisements and website content; 2) Determine your ability to receive HTML-based email messages. Our email service provider includes a pixel tag, which they refer to as a "coded sensor" in all of the HTML-based messages sent on our behalf. The sensor activates when the email message is opened and flags the email address of the user as one that is capable of receiving HTML-based email messages. This capability helps our service provider to send the email in a format you can read. The sensor does not collect or use any other information. If you cannot receive HTML, you will not receive a functioning sensor; 3) Know how many users open an email and allow our service provider to compile aggregated statistics about an email campaign for us; and 4) Allow us to better target interactive advertising, enhance customer support and site usability, and provide offers and promotions that we believe would be of interest to you.

VII. Emails about Special Offers and Promotions and Opt-Out
It is our intention to only send you email communications that will be useful to you and that you want to receive. We typically use third party email service providers to send emails. These service providers are contractually prohibited from using your email address for any purpose other than to send ChelseaHotels related email. We provide you the ability to define and modify your mailing preferences at any time, including unsubscribing from all marketing communications. CANCELLATIONS

Cancellations must be made before 3:00 PM 24 hours prior to arrival to avoid a charge of one nights room and tax fees. Polices can vary for specials, packages and prepaid reservations. Please review the booking description of your reservation.

McCarren Hotel & Pool, Brooklyn, NY
Cancellations must be made before 4:00 PM 48 hours prior to arrival to avoid a charge of one nights room and tax fees. Polices can vary for specials, packages and prepaid reservations. Please review the booking description of your reservation.

Ruschmeyer's, Montauk, NY

There is a cancellation fee of $100 for weekends (Friday and Saturday) and holiday stays and $75 for weekdays (Sunday through Thursday). Cancellations within 21 days of arrival will forfeit the entire deposit. Cancellations within 3 days (72 hours) of arrival will be charged for the entire stay. Polices can vary for promotions, holidays, packages and prepaid reservations. Please review the booking description of your reservation.

DEPOSITS & GUARANTEES

A credit card is required at the time of booking to guarantee the room. Special event periods may require an actual deposit depending on the time of booking and will be stated during the booking process. Direct billing accounts must be set up through Property Accounting Offices and guests must fax requests on company letterhead.

Card with be charged "Room & Tax" for each day plus an additional $50/night will be put on hold to cover incidentals, but your card will not be charged unless the services are used. For those guests who use a debit card, please note that the $50 will be pulled out of your account temporary and restored to your account post departure. For cash paying guests, prepayment of room and tax an additional $100 per day is required. Please note that we are a non-smoking hotel. If smoking occurs in the guest room, a charge of $250 will be applied to your credit card. Charges will also be applied for any damaged or missing items from the guest room.

Check-In time is 3pm. Check-Out time is 11am. Early Check-In is by request only and not guaranteed. Late Check-Out must be coordinated with the hotel if it is available. Guests must be at least 21 years old to check into a hotel.

McCarren Hotel & Pool, Brooklyn, NY
Check-In time is 4pm. Check-Out time is 12pm. Early Check-In is by request only and not guaranteed. Late Check-Out must be coordinated with the hotel if it is available. Guests must be at least 21 years old to check into a hotel.

PETS

All Chelsea Hotels are pet friendly.

The animal must weigh 35 pounds or less, a contract/waiver must be signed upon arrival and a $150 non refundable deposit is required. No pets are allowed by the pool, restaurants, bars or by the beach and may not be left unattended in the guest rooms.

LUGGAGE STORAGE

Luggage storage is available to guests of the hotel through the Front Desk and Bellman at no charge. Luggage can be held at the hotel during your stay for up to 24 hours. The hotel is not responsible for luggage stored after 24 hours.

Any packages/boxes larger than a carrier envelope and up to forty (40) pounds in weight will be subject to a one-time storage and handling fee of $5. Guests should contact our Front Desk to make special arrangements, if they expect shipments in excess of forty (40) pounds per box. Any unclaimed packages will be returned to the sender after fourteen (14) days. Due to limited storage space, we request that shipments not arrive any earlier than two (2) days prior to arrival.

Our fully stocked refreshment centers featuring snacks from Dean & DeLuca is available in your room. Should you wish to have your refreshment center stripped of products, we are happy to assist, a $45 fee will be added to your bill.

McCarren Hotel & Pool, Brooklyn, NY
Our fully stocked refreshment centers featuring many of Brooklyn's local vendors is available in your room. Should you wish to have your mini bar stripped of products, we are happy to assist, a $45 fee will be added to your bill.

GIFT CERTIFICATES & PREPAID BOOKINGS

Gift Certificates are available through the hotels individually. Prepaid bookings require a Credit Card Authorization Form to be completed and faxed to the hotel. This form is available by contacting the hotel directly.

TAX EXEMPT GUESTS

All Tax Exempt Guests must bring an Individual Tax Exempt form from their organization and present it upon checking in.
